CHUCHOTAGE EXPLAINED BY SOUNDTRAD
Chuchotage
WHEN YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE THE TYPE OF INTERPRETATION FOR YOUR MEETING, YOU MAY FEEL A BIT LOST. BUT LUCKILY YOU FOUND US, TRUE EXPERTS IN CHUCHOTAGE INTERPRETING SERVICES.
Chuchotage is a French term, which literally means ‘to whisper’.
Chuchotage interpreting is a mode of simultaneous interpreting in which the interpreter speaks in a low tone of voice next to the ear of the person who does not speak the speaker’s language. In other terms, whispering.
Just like with consecutive and liaison interpreting, no technical support is required; it’s a type of interpreting performed by a single interpreter per language, for services less than two hours long.
Again, owing to the absence of special technical equipment, costs are low, but it can only be provided to one listener, two at most.
The ideal environment is quiet, to ensure a perfect interpreting service.
